Chausuyama Kogen sits on the southern slopes of Chausuyama near the Aichi–Nagano border, serving as the prefecture's sole ski resort. The mountain is small and straightforward: two runs dropping 135 meters, with beginner terrain dominating the layout. Two pair lifts run in parallel, one slightly longer than the other, keeping lines minimal and access simple. The base area includes a children's play zone with conveyor belt lifts and sledging, plus rental and lesson services for families getting started.<br><br>The riding experience here is mellow and forgiving. Intermediate terrain makes up the bulk of the hill, with a small pocket of steeper advanced runs. Snowboarders should note the unusual weekday-only policy—skiers get exclusive access on weekends. The hill operates daytime hours from 8:30am to 4:30pm, and while it's been running since 1986, it remains a local's hill rather than a destination resort.
